Floppy is Fab

I went to the beach with my family about a week ago. My mom and I were sitting out on the beach and a girl walked by with this hat on. We both looked at one another and talked about how adorable the hat was, and then asked her where she got it. "Anthropologie!" she replied.
"Ahhhhh no wonder. Anthropologie.. one of my loves!" I told my mom. I want this hat so bad! I love how these floppy must-haves are flirty, sophisticated, and purely chic at the same time! And not only that, it sheilds your face perfectly from the sun!

Elegance

I am so inspired by the elegant sophistication of these photos. Fashion photography has always interested me. I was actually able to shoot a little for my photography class this past year for a portrait assignment, and I absolutely loved it. These photos are taken by Chris Nicholls. His work is amazing, ranging from fashion and beauty, to advertising. Not only do I love these photos, but I love the dresses as well. So gorgeous!

The Perfect Lazy Day

I love the days when you can kick back, smell the flowers, and enjoy a glass of hot tea without having to worry about time. I love taking the time to sit and embrace my surroundings, especially during the summer. I consider this wasting time in a very tasteful way. It's the perfect lazy day. I hope I have more of these to come for my summer, and I hope you do too!

As it has come to my attention..

These wallets and handbags are adorable! My favorite are the totes. There are just too many to choose from!

Recently went into Fossil a few weeks ago and noticed all the adorable prints on their accessories. I absolutely love the owl change purse. It would make the perfect gift! Check out their new sunglasses as well! Way cute!

Natural Beauty

Recently, I purchased a brush set by ecoTOOLS. I love the fact that this brand is sustainable and shows respect for our planet! The bases of the brushes are made of bamboo, and the case is made from natural cotton and hemp. The bristles are made from synthetic taklon and 100% cruelty free. The sleek furrule that holds the bristles together is made from 100% recycled aluminum. They are so soft and feel great on your face and skin. These products are great because you can show your own natural beauty with natural products that show respect for our environment. I found this set at Target, one of my favorite places to shop! I'm there at least once or twice a week.

Creating Significance

I've been at my lake house for the past week. I always find beautiful little things that no one really pays attention to and decided to take some photos! I'm always inspired by the simple little things in nature. Enjoy!

The beautiful remnants of dandelions

A beautiful bud!

A Family of Daisies!

Neighboring Hydrangeas

White Oleanders

I found some wild strawberries under our stairway outside!

I love these. I'm not entirely sure what they are called, but I always find them in patches of weeds. I always ask my mom what these little purple flowers are, and she just calls it a weed with the rest of them, but I think they're beautiful. They are one fourth the size of my fingernail!

"One for One"

Today I purchased a pair of TOMS! For every pair of TOMS shoes you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. "One for One". These shoes are so comfortable and artsy, and a wonderful and unique way to give back to those in need!

These shoes are not only for a good cause, they are also highly sustainable. Produced by Livity Eco-Textiles, these shoes are 73% hemp and 23% recycled bottle!

FYI: "Why choose Hemp?"

Hemp is chosen because it is one of the strongest natural fibers in the world. Hemp is grown naturally without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Hemp is naturally anti-microbial, allowing the wearer to feel fresh all day long. One hemp tee-shirt saves over 400 gallons of water compared to the regular or organic cotton tee.

Country French

Today I was at Target, one of my favorite stores, and I stumbled across a magazine called Country French, which is a part of Better Homes and Gardens. Anything French has always interested me. The style is so beautiful, dainty, and romantic. French is also a language I would love to learn how to speak as well! Anyways, combining the French style with the Country style is perfect in my eyes. The surroundings of country life are a huge part of who I am, and including "country" in anything means incorporating nature, which is also important to me because it's where I draw most of my inspiration. So you may ask... what exactly is Country French? I went to the website, and they summed it up pretty well.

Country French is defined by its elegant look, with a touch of nature and country mixed in. The French manor look can be yours by bringing in these elements: antiques, blue and yellow, florals and nature inspiration, gilded elements, rustic country-inspired details, trims, and finishes (fringe, lace), and decorative faux finishes (stucco, patina, distressed).
